(CHQI) STUDIES ADVERT, REF: AD/3/216/26, 5 POSTS

The Project:

The Centre for Healthcare Quality and (CHQI) based at the Faculty of Health Sciences is seeking to hire temporary Research Associates for a three-month period for various studies based in Nairobi, Central and Eastern Kenya.

Job Purpose:

To recruit study participants and collect qualitative and quantitative data.

Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Operationalize study SOPs on site activation, data extraction, participant recruitment, and data collection
  • Ensure compliance to study protocol and institutional guidelines
  • Implement study activities including community engagement, information giving on obtaining informed consent and sample collection.
  • Maintaining accurate records of research procedures, results, and observations
  • Provide study team with regular feedback on study activities
  • Participate in regular team calls and meetings
  • Other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned

Job Specification:

  • Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) with clinical research experience; or Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Health Sciences with clinical research experience; or
  • Master’s degree in medical humanities in any of the following fields sociology, anthropology, health economics); or
  • Diploma in Health Professions with at least three (3) years’ experience in infectious diseases (HIV, TB) or NCD prevention and care.

Terms of Employment:

These are temporary, full time positions for an initial period of three (3) months with possibility of extension subject to IMMEDIATE availability & satisfactory performance.
