Raagsan Consulting is seeking an experienced and dynamic MERL and Data Analysis Coordinator to join our team in Nairobi. This pivotal role demands a proactive and strategic individual who will spearhead research initiatives, manage learning activities across all projects, and provide essential support for business development.

The coordinator will be integral in maintaining and expanding our project impacts through meticulous research, monitoring, and evaluation.

We offer an in-depth knowledge of the Somali community level.
Our expertise spans multiple sectors: livelihood, economic assessments, social protection, cash transfers, disaster management, gender, water sector development, transitional justice, supply chain, and humanitarian responses.


RAAGSAN works in fragile and conflict-affected states to develop and strengthen policies and systems that enhance public service delivery. Our operations have served a wide range of international and national clients, including the Government, GEEL Somalia/Somali land Program, SSF through GIST, UNDP through the government, IGAD, IOM, SOS, WFP, GIZ, NRC, RVI, UNICEF through the government, Save the Children, Local NGOs, and other international Companies.

RAAGSAN has primary offices in Mogadishu and Hargeisa and a physical presence in Puntland and Southwest State with a network of local field researchers across Somalia/Somaliland.
RAAGSAN has conducted research in more than 30 districts and has a pool of 200+ highly qualified local field researchers that could be rapidly deployed as a team of professionals who are trained to conduct research and data collection in the field, typically at the community or local
level. The RAAGSAN team was part of several evaluations conducted for donors across the country.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Strategic business development support
  • Project implementation and oversight
  • Advanced research and information synthesis
  • Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning
  • Production and dissemination of information products
  • Client engagement and relationship management
  • Operational and team leadership

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors’ degree with a minimum of 7 years working experience or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years working experience in Social Sciences, Community
  • Development, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • A minimum of five years of relevant experience in research management, project implementation, and MEL.
  • Experience with project monitoring, data analysis, and project evaluation is a must.
  • Excellent, detail-oriented writing skills and experience consolidating feedback and edits from many reviewers.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English. Ability to communicate diplomatically and clearly with clients and local stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with mobile data collection technologies and experience using data analysis softwares and data visualization tools like Power BI or similar platforms.
  • Ability to communicate complex information effectively through clear writing and excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Capable of transforming technical data into presentations for diverse audiences.
  • Skilled in collaborating with diverse groups, partners, and colleagues, demonstrating a strong team spirit.
  • Self-driven, able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Proven track record of working in Somalia or similar contexts.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with remote teams and thrive in a diverse environment.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with a capacity to handle multiple deadlines and high-stress situations.
  • Flexibility to work extended hours as needed to meet project deadlines.
  • Strictly based in Nairobi, Kenya
