Service Supervisor Job in Kenya - Inchcape

Key Responsibilities

In this position, you will ensure:

1. Offloading, Assembly & Predelivery Inspection supervision

  • Supervise offloading and assembly of new units’ receipts
  • Record and ensure safe keeping of received items for new units. Report any short shipment for corrective actions.
  • Ensure assembly of new units meets OEM standards.
  • Supervise the pre-delivery inspections and carry out quality checks.
  • Submit pre-delivery inspections reports for online reporting.
  • Handover newly assembled units to commercial team for final allocation and maintain records of the same.
  • Ensure offloading & assembly is done in efficient and safe manner.
  • Ensure assembly and PDI and workshop bays are well maintained for efficient workshop operations and in line with Kaizen standards.
  • Liase with commercial team to understand daily requirements on new units and facilitate to release to branches and customers.

2. OEM Reporting, Warranty Execution & closure.

  • Assist service technicians to report warranty failures through online portal and provide any requested feedback to OEM.

  • Provide technical support to technicians on troubleshooting and repair processes.
  • Liaise with warranty executive to ensure any required information is provided for claims closure.
  • Ensure warranty job cards and claims are submitted within required timelines to avert any claim rejection.
  • Ensure warranty salvage parts are safely stored and handed over to warranty executive.

3. Service Team supervision.

  • Supervise the technicians in workshop and field ensuring the required support is given in execution of assigned duties.
  • Provide technical support to technicians both in the field and workshop to resolve any repair/troubleshooting challenges in timely manner.
  • Supervise and ensure efficient utilization of casuals and technicians allocated to New holland workshop.
  • Collaborate and follow up with parts team to ensure technicians get the required parts for service jobs execution.
  • Maintain records of technicians’ tools allocation and specials tools, conduct regular checks and audits on technician allocated tools and workshop tools and equipment to ensure they are kept and maintained in safe manner.

4. Workshop processes & documentation.

  • Work closely with service administrator for timely closure of completed jobs.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, workshop policies and industry standards.
  • Ensuring the quality of repairs carried out by service teams in workshop and field meets OEM standards and is well documented.
  • Any other tasks that will be allocated from time to time.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you would need:

  • Diploma/Degree in Business Administration, Automotive, or related field.
  • 7 years of experience in the automotive industry.
  • Proven track record of customer service & relations.
  • Strong technical knowledge on Tractor repair and workshop processes.
  • Conversant with high horsepower tractor diagnosis and repairs.
  • Quality control and assurance.
  • Leadership and team management skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work independently as well as in a team.
  • Time management and organization skills
  • Problem solving and conflict resolution
