Inventory Assistant Job in Kenya - Githunguri Dairy Farmers

Githunguri Dairy Farmers Co-operative Society Ltd plays a key role in marketing of its member’s milk which is processed and packed in form of pouch packed fresh milk, Tetra Classic fresh milk, lala, butter, ghee and cream under the flagship of “Fresha Dairy Products”.

The society invites applications from suitable candidates to fill the following vacant position

Job Purpose

Stocks management – receiving, inspecting, storage and dispatch to customers and depots on timely basis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Controls inventory levels by conducting daily, weekly cycle counts as well as monthly stock takes and reconciling with ERP (SYSPRO).
  • Ensure use of FEFO at all times and Up to date store records i.e. Bin cards/ syspro ERP
  • Preparing and submitting daily stock movements to reconciliation team and sound stock to supervisor.
  • Minimize / eliminate stock losses through detection and prevention of fraud, pilferage etc.
  • Ensure the stocks are well organized as per the racking schedule.
  • Up to date store records i.e. Bin cards/ syspro ERP.
  • Ensure all transfers to internal/external are well documented and order/ journal are free from errors before receiving and issuing
  • Daily reporting on space availability in all external stores.

Qualifications

  • Degree or Higher diploma in logistics, purchasing and supply chain or procurement.
  • KCSE certificate – C plain.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Team working skills and conflict management.
  • Solution oriented and embracing new technology.
  • Accountability and result driven.
  • Be innovative.
  • Must be prepared to work in a shift arrangement.
  • Team Player
  • 2 years’ experience in a busy FMCG environment will be an added advantage.
