Hold a
Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce (Accounting Option) or an equivalent
qualification from a recognized university.
Be a duly
registered member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya
(ICPAK) and be in good standing.
Have
sound knowledge and understanding of accounting principles, financial
management, budgeting, taxation, and financial reporting.
Demonstrate
proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications,
particularly Excel.
Have
excellent analytical, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrate a high level of integrity, confidentiality, accuracy, and
professionalism.
Have
relevant working experience in accounting and financial management.
Key Responsibilities
The
successful candidate will be responsible for:
Preparing
and maintaining accurate financial records.
Preparing
financial statements, budgets, and management reports.
Monitoring
income, expenditure, and cash flows.
Ensuring
compliance with applicable financial and tax requirements.
Managing
accounts payable and receivable.
Assisting
in preparation for internal and external audits.
Maintaining
proper financial documentation and records.
Providing
financial advice and supporting management in financial decision-making.
Performing any other accounting duties assigned by management.
