Victory Farms is hiring a Data & Reporting Analyst to analyze business data, develop reports and dashboards and provide data-driven insights to support decision-making. The role is based in Nairobi and experience in data analysis is required.
Key Responsibilities:
Data
Collection, Cleansing and Analysis
- Gather and consolidate data from various sources including
production systems, environmental sensors, operational databases,
spreadsheets, and APIs.
- Cleanse and preprocess data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and
consistency.
- Identify and resolve any data quality issues or discrepancies.
- Conduct regular audits of data sources to ensure accuracy,
completeness, and consistency of data.
Reporting
and Performance Monitoring
- Design and develop comprehensive reports and dashboards to monitor
key performance indicators (KPIs) related to sales, feed efficiency, water
quality, etc.
- Customize reporting solutions to meet the specific needs of
stakeholders.
- Utilize visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or
specialized visualization software to create interactive and dynamic
reports.
- Automate reporting processes where possible to improve efficiency
and provide timely insights to decision-makers.
Insights
and Decision Support
- Analyze data to provide actionable insights and recommendations to
improve operational efficiency.
- Work closely with business stakeholders and aquaculture teams to
develop data driven strategies for production planning, stocking
densities, etc.
- Conduct ad-hoc analysis and scenario modeling to evaluate the impact
of different variables on performance and profitability.
Data
Governance and Compliance
- Implement access controls and security measures to protect sensitive
data and comply with regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
- Develop and maintain documentation for data dictionaries, data
lineage, and metadata to facilitate data governance and compliance
efforts.
Collaboration
and Stakeholder Engagement
- Partner with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders to
understand their data analysis needs and requirements.
- Translate business questions into actionable insights and
data-driven recommendations that drive strategic decision-making.
Qualifications &
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or
a related field
- 2+ years of experience in data analysis, with a focus on
visualization tools such as Power BI development and tabular data
modeling.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages such as
SQL, Python, R, DAX or similar.
- Strong understanding of data governance principles, compliance
requirements, and best practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention
to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a
fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability
to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proven track record of leading and delivering complex data analysis
projects from inception to completion.
- Certification in Power BI or related technologies is a plus.
