Quality Intern Job in Kenya (20K)

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in performing routine laboratory tests on raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods.
  • Record and analyze test results to ensure products meet company and regulatory standards.
  • Observe and assist in monitoring production processes to ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Identify deviations or non-conformities and report them to supervisors for corrective action.
  • Maintain accurate quality records, including test results, inspection reports, and corrective action logs.
  • Assist in preparing daily, weekly, and monthly quality reports for management review.
  • Support the implementation of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), and other regulatory food safety standards.
  • Assist in internal audits and help prepare for external inspections when required.
  • Participate in problem-solving sessions to improve product quality and production efficiency.
  • Suggest ideas for process optimization and reduction of waste or defects.
  • Work closely with production, procurement, and quality teams to ensure consistent product quality.
  • Assist senior quality staff in training new employees or interns on quality procedures and standards.

Key Requirement Skills And Qualification


  • Degree or Diploma in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field.
  • Basic knowledge of food safety standards and quality control principles
  • Previous experience in a food manufacturing facility is an added advantage
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and willingness to learn
