Duties and Responsibilities:
- Implement water and sanitation plans, regulations and
guidelines.
- Carry out research activities including feasibility studies in water
and sanitation;
- Plan and design water supply and sewerage projects and
infrastructure;
- Monitor and maintain sanitation facilities;
- Ensure professional standards and undertaking quality control during
construction of water
- supply and sewerage infrastructure;
- Supervise construction and maintenance of water, sanitation and
sewerage works and related
- activities;
- Liaise with other institutions in implementation of projects related
to water and sanitation
- within the County;
- Implement projects and programmes as per the county integrated
development plan and other
- county planning frameworks;
- Communicate water and sanitation information within the
county;
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual water and sanitation reports
within the county;
- Supervise, monitor, evaluate and report on programs and projects on
water and sanitation sector
- Perform any other duties as assigned
Requirements
For
appointment to this grade a candidate must have: –
- Kenyan Citizenship
- Be in possession of a relevant Bachelor’s Degree in Water
Engineering or its equivalent;
- Served in the grade of Superintendent (Water Engineering) or its
equivalent for a minimum period of three years
- Registration with Engineers Board of Kenya
- Knowledge of design software, (AutoCAD, Water CAD);
- Knowledge of relevant legislation;
- Knowledge of professional Engineering standards;
- Proficiency in computer applications and project management.
