Job Purpose/Summary
- The job holder at this level will work
under the direct supervision of a Senior Finance officer.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Gathering, compiling and analyzing
information on commitment and expenditure trends and initiating
appropriate corrective action as may be required;
- Compiling information required on budget
monitoring and expenditure control including expenditures on salaries and
allowances; and
- Initial processing of reallocations
within the budget. manage accounts receivables and payables; act as chief
advisor to the authority on all accounting matters; prepare, enforce and
regularly update the financial policies manual;
- develop and regularly review the chart of
accounts; and maintain financial records and prepare statutory accounts
Qualifications and Experience
For appointment to this
position, the ideal candidate must:
- Have a Bachelors in any of the following
fields: Commerce (Accounting or Finance option), Business Administration
(Finance or Accounting option) or equivalent qualifications from a
recognized institution;
- Have passed Part II of Certified Public
Accountants (CPA) examination or equivalent qualification from recognized
institution; and be proficient in Computer Applications

Successful candidates MUST
satisfy the requirements of the Leadership and Integrity Act set out in Chapter

Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA); Clearance Certificate from the Higher
Education Loans Board (HELB);
- Certificate of Good Conduct from the
Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI)
- Duly filled and stamped
Self-Declaration/Clearance from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission
(EACC); and
- Clearance Certificate from an approved
Credit Reference Bureau (CRB).
