The Weighbridge Operator is responsible for checking delivery paperwork and recording the weight of vehicles arriving and leaving the factory or site. The incumbent will oversee and coordinate operations at the weighbridge to ensure they are carried out as per the ISO procedures and standards.
Key Duties/Responsibilities:
- Ascertains the accuracy by weighing raw
materials and goods being picked from the site by any vehicle.
- Collects and collates all documentation
including LPOs prior to weighing.
- Maintains proper housekeeping of the weighbridge
and general area to ensure a clean, tidy and hazard-free condition.
- Reports to management in case of breach of
rules, act of dishonesty, malpractice by any member of the public, visitor
to the site, or member of staff for a way forward.
- Acts as first point of contact for any vehicles
to resolve any issues/problems with the delivery/collection of goods.
- Ensures that all Health & Safety measures
are adhered to by any person at the weighbridge including the wearing of
Personal Protective Equipment.
- Maintains and develops effective relationships
with all customers whilst ensuring efficiency in service delivery.
- Maintains awareness of the relevant details of
risk assessments, emergency procedures and other relevant health &
safety and environmental compliance.
- Ensures that there is customer satisfaction at
weighbridge through immediate customer complaints resolutions.
- Prepares timely weighbridge reports for raw
materials.
- Keeps proper records for all deliveries on raw
materials, fuels delivered and materials dispatched on daily basis.

documentation.
Academic and Professional Qualifications and
Experience Required:
- Diploma or trade test in logistics management.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
(procurement, supply chain and logistics, data analysis) desired.
- Degree/Diploma in Automotive Engineering (Motor
Vehicle Electrics)/IT/electronics/operations management or a related field
(added advantage).
- At least Three (3) years relevant weighbridge
operation experience.
- At least Two (2) years hands-on experience in
tracking systems (added advantage).
