Key Responsibilities
- Assist in maintaining accurate financial records
and supporting documentation for grants and programmes.
- Support the preparation of payment requests,
expense reports, and reconciliations.
- Help track project budgets and expenditure
against approved allocations.
- Assist in compiling financial data for donor and
internal reports.
- Participate in audits and compliance checks by
ensuring proper filing and documentation.
- Guide grantees during the application process,
ensuring they understand eligibility, documentation, and submission
requirements.
- Support communication with grantees, including
responding to inquiries and following up on submissions and reporting
timelines.
- Participate in field visits to support
monitoring, data verification, and documentation of grant activities.
- Maintain an organised grants filing system (both
physical and digital) for easy retrieval of documentation.
- Support general tasks as assigned by the Grants
and Programs team
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree.awaiting graduation in
Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and
financial reporting.
- Strong analytical and organisational skills with
attention to detail.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and other Microsoft
Office applications.
- Interest or prior exposure to grants management
or donor-funded projects is an added advantage.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a willingness to
learn
