Internship, Grants & Programs Support, Job in Kenya - HEVA Fund

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting documentation for grants and programmes.
  • Support the preparation of payment requests, expense reports, and reconciliations.
  • Help track project budgets and expenditure against approved allocations.
  • Assist in compiling financial data for donor and internal reports.
  • Participate in audits and compliance checks by ensuring proper filing and documentation.
  • Guide grantees during the application process, ensuring they understand eligibility, documentation, and submission requirements.
  • Support communication with grantees, including responding to inquiries and following up on submissions and reporting timelines.
  • Participate in field visits to support monitoring, data verification, and documentation of grant activities.
  • Maintain an organised grants filing system (both physical and digital) for easy retrieval of documentation.
  • Support general tasks as assigned by the Grants and Programs team

Qualifications & Skills


  • Bachelor’s degree.awaiting graduation in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Strong analytical and organisational skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Interest or prior exposure to grants management or donor-funded projects is an added advantage.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a willingness to learn
