Our
client is a leading distributor of chemicals across emerging markets and
actively trades several other commodities like steel, polymers, and many more.
They are looking to hire a strategic and people-focused HR professional
responsible for leading performance management, employee engagement, and talent
development initiatives will drive organisational growth and excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Performance Management: Lead the implementation
of a results-driven performance management system that is driven by data
and ensures continuous performance improvement.
- Talent Management: Lead end-to-end talent
management initiatives, including conducting annual training needs
assessments, developing and implementing training and development
programs, and ensuring effective recruitment, staffing, and succession
planning to attract, grow, and retain top talent aligned with business
goals
- Employee Engagement: Champion engagement and
culture initiatives that promote motivation, collaboration, and retention
across all departments.
- Policy & Compliance: Review, implement, and
monitor HR policies and procedures in line with labour laws and
organisational changes.
- Employee Relations: Manage disciplinary
processes, conflict resolution, and employee counselling while promoting a
positive work culture.
- Payroll Administration: Oversee accurate and
timely payroll processing, ensuring compliance with statutory deductions,
internal controls, and reporting requirements.
- Administration & Welfare: Oversee office
administration, health and safety, and employee welfare programs to ensure
a safe and supportive workplace.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management,
Business Administration, or relatedfield.
- Minimum 8 years in senior HR management, with
proven experience in performance management, staff engagement, and talent
development.
- Strategic thinker focused on developing talent
and enhancing organizational performance.
- Strong understanding of Kenyan labor laws, HR
best practices, and workforce planning.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and
people management skills.
