Job summary
To
support the finance and operations team in maintaining accurate financial
records, managing Inventory records, performing regular reconciliations, and
ensuring smooth financial operations Within the retail store.
Job Description
Financial
& Inventory Recording
- Bookkeeping &Financial Records
- Record daily sales, purchases, and expenses
accurately in accounting systems.
- Maintain and update ledgers, journals, and
financial files.
- Process supplier invoices and ensure timely
payments.
- Assist in preparing monthly management accounts
and reports.
- Support in cash flow tracking and petty cash
management.
- Stock Management & Inventory Control
- Participate in monthly and quarterly stock
takes.
- Reconcile physical stock with system records and
investigate variances.
- Monitor stock movements between branches or
warehouses.
- Work closely with store staff to ensure accurate
inventory documentation.
- Reconciliation &Reporting
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly bank
reconciliations.
- Reconcile supplier accounts, customer accounts,
and internal control accounts.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies in accounting
and inventory records.
- Prepare periodic reports on sales, stock levels.
- Compliance & Support
- Ensure all transactions comply with accounting
standards and company policies.
- Support external audits and provide necessary
documentation.
- Maintain confidentiality and integrity in
handling financial information.
Education
& Qualifications:
Diploma
or Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
Experience:
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in an accounts
role.
- Proven experience in reconciling stock and
financial data across departments.
- Hands-on experience with accounting and
inventory management software e.g. SAP or similar).
- Familiarity with purchasing, stock tracking, and
invoice processing workflows.
- Experience in retail and distribution
environments is a strong advantage
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet
deadlines
