Job Summary
We are
seeking enthusiastic, professional, and customer-focused individuals to join
our Front of House team. The ideal candidate will be versatile, able to
seamlessly transition between serving tables and preparing high-quality
beverages. You will be responsible for providing an exceptional dining and/or
café experience for all our guests, ensuring efficient service, and maintaining
a clean and welcoming environment.
Key Responsibilities
Customer
Service & Dining Experience:
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and thank them
genuinely upon departure.
- Present menus, inform guests of daily specials,
and answer questions about menu items, ingredients, and preparation
methods.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately using
the Point of Sale (POS) system.
- Serve food and beverages promptly and correctly
to tables.
- Anticipate guests’ needs and respond to
requests, feedback, and complaints in a timely, professional, and positive
manner.
- Clear tables, reset dining areas, and assist
with general restaurant cleanliness.
- Process payments (cash, credit card, mobile)
accurately and handle cash drawer responsibly.
Barista & Beverage Preparation:
- Prepare and serve a wide range of coffee
beverages (e.g., espresso, lattes, cappuccinos) following established
recipes and quality standards.
- Operate and maintain espresso machines,
grinders, and other beverage equipment.
- Handle and store coffee beans, milk, and other
ingredients properly.
- Maintain a clean and organized coffee bar area,
including rinsing pitchers, wiping down surfaces, and restocking supplies.
- Prepare other non-alcoholic beverages such as
teas, smoothies, and fresh juices as required.
General
Operations:
- Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene
standards and regulations.
- Assist with opening and closing duties,
including setting up and breaking down dining areas and service stations.
- Restock service areas, silverware, glassware,
and other supplies.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to
ensure smooth and accurate order flow.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure
efficient service and a positive work environment.
Qualifications and Skills
- Experience: Previous experience (e.g., 1+ year)
as a waiter/waitress, server, or barista in a fast-paced environment is
preferred, but not strictly required (training will be provided for highly
motivated candidates).
- Customer Focus: Exceptional interpersonal and
communication skills with a strong commitment to guest satisfaction.
- Beverage Knowledge (Barista): Solid knowledge of
coffee preparation techniques and a passion for crafting quality drinks.
- Teamwork: Ability to work well under pressure in
a team setting and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand and walk for
extended periods, lift up to 25 lbs, and perform repetitive movements.
- Availability: Must be available to work flexible
hours, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Integrity: Must be honest, reliable, and possess
a professional appearance and demeanor.
