Enumerator Job in Kenya - Village Enterprise

Village Enterprise seeks a full-time staff member to collect data in Rongo subcounty-Migori and contribute to the success of the organization. The Enumerator is a self-driven, self-sufficient staff member, who excels at data collection, while also critically analyzing all the surveys and providing feedback to M&E.

Job Description Key Result Areas

  • Data collection on the core program and all studies as designed by the M&E Team
  • Business and BSG spot-checks
  • Monthly reports on key findings in the field
  • Attend all trainings as will be required by the M&E team.
  • Data entry as may be required by the M&E team.
  • Community liaison
  • Safeguarding
  • Data collection expectations:
  • Supply accurate data collected from the field, at baseline, midline and end line as required by the M&E Team.
  • Provide weekly reports on any challenges encountered during the process of data collection.

  • Share best practices seen in the field for program improvement.
  • Upload data immediately.
  • Double-checking and synchronizing all collected data on a daily basis
  • Business and BSG Spot-check Expectation:
  • Conduct BSG and Business spot-checks as allocated by the M&E Team.
  • Monthly reports Expectations:
  • Supply accurate monthly reports to the M&E Team.
  • Data entry expectations:
  • Enter accurate and reliable information. Falsified Information is means for immediate dismissal
  • Submit and upload data in a timely manner
  • Community Liaison:
  • Expected to represent the interest of the organization at all times in a professional manner
  • Expected to explain to any Government official that they may meet what Village Enterprise does and what role they are playing in this specific community. Safeguarding: “Safeguarding at VE is everyone’s responsibility”
  • Continuously sensitize program participants about possible risks of child abuse, sexual/financial exploitation, prevention and response mechanisms.
  • Ensure compliance with VE’s safeguarding policies and Code of Conduct in all programs, operations and practices.
  • Report any incident of child or adult safeguarding in program operations for appropriate action and follow up.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of Diploma in any discipline with prior experience/exposure in research disciplines.
  • Understanding of the elements of data quality.
