Our client, a prestigious family-run fine dining restaurant, is seeking a versatile and detail-oriented Cashier / Administrative Assistant to support its guest-facing, administrative, and event coordination functions. This is a cashless establishment, with all transactions processed via card or M-Pesa, requiring precision, discretion, and a strong customer service ethos.
Key Responsibilities:
Cashier
Duties
- Process payments via card and M-Pesa with
accuracy and efficiency
- Ensure proper billing, reconciliation, and
end-of-day reporting
- Guests with payment queries and maintain a
courteous checkout experience
Administrative
Duties
- Respond promptly to emails, direct messages, and
social media inquiries (Instagram, Facebook, etc.)
- Maintain and update in-house signage, menus, and
guest-facing notices
- Support general administrative tasks including
filing, scheduling, and supplier coordination
Event Support
- Coordinate logistics for in-house events,
private bookings, and special occasions
- Liaise with vendors, service providers, and
internal teams to ensure smooth execution
- Provide on-site support during events to ensure
a seamless guest experience
Requirements
- Diploma in Hospitality Management, Front Office
Operations, or a related field
- 3 years’ experience in hospitality, customer
service, or administrative support
- Proficiency in digital tools including POS
systems, email platforms, and social media management
- Familiarity with digital payment systems
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Tech-savvy, organized, and able to multitask in
a dynamic environment
- Professional demeanor and a warm, guest-focused
attitude
