Cashier / Admin Assistant Job in Kenya

Our client, a prestigious family-run fine dining restaurant, is seeking a versatile and detail-oriented Cashier / Administrative Assistant to support its guest-facing, administrative, and event coordination functions. This is a cashless establishment, with all transactions processed via card or M-Pesa, requiring precision, discretion, and a strong customer service ethos.

Key Responsibilities:

Cashier Duties

  • Process payments via card and M-Pesa with accuracy and efficiency
  • Ensure proper billing, reconciliation, and end-of-day reporting
  • Guests with payment queries and maintain a courteous checkout experience

Administrative Duties

  • Respond promptly to emails, direct messages, and social media inquiries (Instagram, Facebook, etc.)
  • Maintain and update in-house signage, menus, and guest-facing notices
  • Support general administrative tasks including filing, scheduling, and supplier coordination

Event Support


  • Coordinate logistics for in-house events, private bookings, and special occasions
  • Liaise with vendors, service providers, and internal teams to ensure smooth execution
  • Provide on-site support during events to ensure a seamless guest experience

Requirements

  • Diploma in Hospitality Management, Front Office Operations, or a related field
  • 3 years’ experience in hospitality, customer service, or administrative support
  • Proficiency in digital tools including POS systems, email platforms, and social media management
  • Familiarity with digital payment systems
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Tech-savvy, organized, and able to multitask in a dynamic environment
  • Professional demeanor and a warm, guest-focused attitude
