Role Overview

turning ideas into unforgettable radio moments.** We are seeking a creative and
highly organized Radio Producer to manage the planning, production, and
execution of our radio programs. The ideal candidate will have a deep
understanding of audio content creation, strong editorial judgment, and the
ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. In this role, you will work
closely with on-air talent, technical staff, and external contributors to craft
compelling shows that inform, entertain, and inspire. Your responsibilities
will include scripting, scheduling, directing live and recorded broadcasts, and
ensuring all content meets the highest production standards while aligning with
Meru FM’s voice and values. **Fluency in the Meru dialect is essential**, as
you will be shaping content that resonates directly with our community. If

Responsibilities
- Develop and
produce engaging radio content, including music shows, interviews, talk
shows, and special features.
- Work closely
with presenters and on-air talent to plan show structure and content.
- Research
topics, write scripts, and prepare briefing notes.
- Book guests and
arrange interviews, ensuring all contributors are well-prepared.
- Oversee live
and pre-recorded shows, ensuring smooth execution and adherence to
broadcast standards.
- Edit audio
content for clarity, timing, and sound quality using digital audio
software.
- Monitor
listener feedback and ratings to adapt and improve programming.
- Coordinate with
marketing and promotions teams to support audience engagement.
- Ensure
compliance with legal and ethical broadcasting standards.
- Manage
production schedules and ensure deadlines are met.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s
degree in Media, Communications, Journalism, or related field (preferred).
- Proven
experience in radio production or audio content creation.
- Strong
storytelling, editorial, and scriptwriting skills.
- Proficiency
with audio editing software (e.g., Adobe Audition, Audacity, Pro Tools).
- Excellent
organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work
flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if required.
- Strong
communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for
radio, current events, music, and/or pop culture (depending on program
format).
