The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills, strong digital abilities, and the capacity to manage multiple priorities in a fast- paced environment. This role requires discretion, professionalism, and a high degree of confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities
- Research, write, and publish posts, features and other content
on Christianity, Faith and a wide range of related topics.
- Monitor news sources and social media to stay on top of
breaking news and trending topics
- Produce multimedia content, including videos, podcasts, and
infographics.
- Engage with our audience through social media, comments, and
other interactive channels.
- Collaborate with the editorial team to ensure content is
accurate, timely and compelling
- Optimize content for SEO and social media to increase
visibility and engagement.
- Meet deadlines and manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
- Analyze web traffic and user engagement metrics to inform
strategy.
Qualifications
- Qualification in Communication, Journalism or a related field.
- Proven experience as a journalist or similar role.
- Excellent writing and editing skills with a strong command of
the English language.
- Proficiency in editing software like Canva
- Strong research skills and the ability to quickly grasp
complex topics.
- Familiarity with SEO best practices and content management
systems (CMS).
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a
fast-paced environment.
- A keen eye for detail and a commitment to producing
high-quality content.
- Passion for storytelling and a deep understanding of the online
media landscape.
- Multimedia skills, including video editing and graphic design,
are a plus.
