mission and values. We are searching for Clerks to assist in the Retail Stores
operations.
This role requires individuals who are retailers at
heart, possess high business acumen and are passionate about customer
experience. They will be responsible for support culminating in the successful
running of a TBC retail branch.
Main Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Drive the desired retail strategy within the assigned
category.
- Meet the set KPI’s including.
- Category and branch revenue targets
- Customer experience and branch NPS score.
- Support and implement the customer experience improvement
strategies as shared by the business.
- Maintain a record of customer requests and share with line
managers daily.
- Aggressively carry out sales campaigns and ensure expectation
is achieved.
- Assist clients with inquiries and purchasing needs. Raise
quotations where need be.
- Ensure designated area is kept well merchandised, clean and
dust free.
- Ensure adherence to TBC’s processes, policies, and SOP’s.
- Conduct daily stock status and share order requests with line
managers and store clerk for fulfilment.
- Ensure correct product assortment and placement within
assigned category.
- Ensure adherence to retail standards on store look and feel.
- Share reports as per business and function needs. This would
be ad-hoc, weekly, monthly, and quarterly.
- Efficiently manage category inventory to ensure timely
replenishment of shelves, inventory management by advising line managers
on stockholding is at 60% of ROS. Ensure timely placement and proactive
follow up of orders via line managers. Eliminate stock outs, minimise
stock losses and reduce lost sales opportunities.
- Carry out periodic stock count on category in conjunction with
line managers. • Provide detail feedback on all variances related to
inventory.
- Support initiatives to minimize shrinkage and pilferage below
targeted levels.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a busy retail environment
- Must have a higher diploma or bachelor’s degree in B-Comm or a
businessrelated course.
- Strong understanding of retail and related business functions.
- Advanced Excel skills with experience working with an ERP
system.
- Adequate knowledge of store operations, all book categories,
stationery, and IT Products.
- Ability to create and analyze reports, spreadsheets, and sales
statistics.
- Appreciation of Omnichannel Business models.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication
skills
- Problem-solving attitude, with a can-do attitude
- Willingness to work in shifts- 6 days a week including
weekends and holidays.
- Willingness to relocate/work in other branches as and when the
company requires.
NB: The role requires a resource who can work long
and odd hours including weekends and holidays, One must also be able to stand
for long hours as per the sales floor demands.
