Position Description
Under the direct supervision of the Finance and Administration Manager, the Office Manager will perform the following principal functions:
- Make travel bookings for transit staff, air, hotel and transfers
- Procure visas and travel documents from embassies
- Prepare vouchers, bills and requests payment for review and approval.
- Classify and summarize financial transactions and events in accordance with accounting principles of the SISP project.
- Send original transaction vouchers to Juba office and file copies for office and audit use.
- Make payments to suppliers once approved
- Maintain petty cash
- Financial reporting through the Field Cash Report (FCR) on a weekly basis.
- Maintain the FCR database and ensure it is backed up regularly.
- Get quotations and procure goods and ship to Juba
- Carry out any other relevant duties and tasks as assigned by supervisors.
Essential Qualifications: Minimum of 3 years of progressively responsible relevant work experience in accounting with knowledge of accounting software applications. Excellent computer skills particularly excel and word.
Desirable Qualifications: Working experience with a large NGO is preferred. Accounting experience
Education: Secondary education, with a Bachelor's degree in accounting preferred.
Language Requirements: Fluent in written and spoken English and the ability to
draft accounting related correspondence.
