Office Assistant & Driver Job in Kenya - IDRC

Responsibilities

As the Office Assistant and Driver, you will be joining an organization that values and models diversity, inclusion and equity while being responsible for:

  • Contributing to the day-to-day reception and administrative activities of the Regional Office.
  • Supporting logistical coordination and hospitality for official visits, events, and office operations.
  • Managing courier and delivery tasks, including handling incoming and outgoing mail, parcels, and official documents.
  • Handling driving responsibilities, including the safe transportation of staff and guests, as well as the maintenance of IDRC vehicles.

Qualifications


You Have:

  • A valid driver’s license.
  • A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; additional training in office administration or a related field is considered an asset.
  • Proficiency in English at an intermediate level (reading, writing and speaking) and fluency in Swahili**
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a government office, diplomatic mission, busy research organization or the private sector.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a high level of discretion, professionalism, and integrity.
  • Excellent knowledge of Nairobi’s road network and familiarity with driving across Kenya.
