Data Entry Clerks transferring data from paper documents into computer files and maintaining spreadsheets, requiring a High school certificate with an overall grade of C+ or above and a minimum grade of C+ in Mathematics, in a construction environment, on-site role.
Key Responsibilities
- Transfer
data from paper documents into computer files or database systems using
keyboards, data recorders or optical scanners.
- Enter
data provided directly by customers and other relevant sources.
- Create
and maintain spreadsheets containing large volumes of information
accurately.
- Verify
entered data against source documents to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Update
existing records accurately and in a timely manner.
- Retrieve
information from databases or electronic files as required.
- Perform
regular backups to ensure data preservation.
- Sort,
organise and safely maintain paperwork after data entry to prevent loss
and facilitate easy retrieval.

Qualifications & Experience
- High
school certificate with an overall grade of C+ or above.
- A
minimum grade of C+ in Mathematics.
KEY SKILLS & COMPETENCES
- Fast
and accurate typing skills.
- Excellent
knowledge of word-processing tools and spreadsheets, including Microsoft
Word and Excel.
- Working
knowledge of office equipment, computer hardware and peripheral devices.
- Basic
understanding of databases.
- Good
command of English, both written and spoken, together with good customer
service skills.
- Excellent
attention to detail.
- A
high level of personal and professional integrity.
