College Administrator providing oversight of the College’s financial, administrative and operational functions, including accounts management, staff supervision and property and asset management, requiring a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration, 2-3 years relevant experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting systems, in a college education environment, on-site role.
We are
seeking to recruit a competent, experienced and results-oriented College
Administrator to provide effective oversight of the College’s financial,
administrative and operational functions.
The ideal
candidate should have a strong background in finance and accounts, a good
understanding of property and asset management, and proven managerial and
leadership experience. The successful candidate will oversee the Accounts
Department while providing general supervision of staff and College operations
as required.
Key Responsibilities
Finance
& Accounts
- Oversee
the day-to-day operations of the Accounts Department and ensure effective
financial controls are maintained.
- Monitor
student fee collection, receipting, banking, expenditure and financial
records.
- Review
financial reports, reconciliations, budgets and cash-flow information.
- Monitor
expenditure against approved budgets and ensure proper accountability of
College funds.
- Ensure
financial records and supporting documentation are properly maintained.
- Work
closely with the Finance team to strengthen accounting procedures,
controls and reporting.
- Support
internal and external audit processes and ensure audit requirements are
addressed appropriately.
Administration
& Operations
- Provide
general administrative oversight and ensure smooth day-to-day College
operations.
- Supervise
and coordinate staff when required to maintain operational efficiency and
service standards.
- Monitor
staff attendance, discipline, performance and compliance with College
policies and procedures.
- Support
management in implementing operational decisions, systems and procedures.
- Identify
operational challenges and recommend practical solutions.
- Facilitate
effective coordination and teamwork between departments.
- Provide
general operational supervision whenever required by management.
Property
& Resource Management
- Oversee
the proper use, maintenance and accountability of College property,
equipment and other physical resources.
- Maintain
and monitor records of College assets and their utilization.
- Coordinate
maintenance, repairs and general facility requirements.
- Ensure
College facilities remain functional, orderly and suitable for staff and
students.
- Monitor
the utilization of supplies and other institutional resources in
coordination with relevant departments.
- Promote
responsible use and proper accountability of College resources.
Leadership
& Management
- Provide
effective leadership and direction to staff within the scope of the role.
- Promote
professionalism, discipline, teamwork and accountability across the
College.
- Support
management in implementing College policies, procedures and operational
directives.
- Address
routine operational and administrative issues and escalate matters
requiring management intervention.
- Prepare
administrative and operational reports for management as required.
- Maintain
confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling financial, staff
and institutional matters.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s
degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Business
Management, Commerce or a related field.
- CPA
(K) or an equivalent professional accounting qualification will be an
added advantage.
- At
least 2–3 years of relevant experience in finance/accounts,
administration, operations or a managerial/supervisory position.
- Demonstrated
experience in financial oversight, accounts management and administrative
operations.
- Good
understanding of property, asset and resource management.
- Proven
managerial and leadership experience with the ability to supervise staff
and coordinate multiple functions.
- Sound
knowledge of financial controls, budgeting, reconciliations and financial
reporting.
- Proficiency
in Microsoft Office and accounting/ERP systems.
- Excellent
organizational, communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
- High
level of integrity, accountability, confidentiality and professionalism.
