Assistant Office Administrator

Handling routine office logistics, document management, and client inquiries, requiring a Business Administration Diploma/Degree and relevant office experience.

Job Description    

  • The purpose of the job is to Provide secretarial support services to the Board to ensure smooth running of all departmental activities in order to achieve the mandate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Attend to visitors/clients;
  • Respond to telephone calls and enquiries;
  • Handle customer inquries aind complaints;
  • Ensure security of office records, equipment, and documents;
  • Ensure confidentiality of office information/data;
  • Manage office protocol and etiquette;
  • Facilitate the general administration of the respective Office;

Job Dimensions

  • Managing office petty cash
  • Responsible for physical assets in the assigned office, safes, furniture and office equipment.
  • Operational Decisions
  • Performed in an office setting at the Board’s Headquarters with occasional field assignments.:         

Requirement for Appointment

  • KCSE Mean grade C-

Professional Qualifications 

  • Have passed in the following subjects offered by the Kenya National Examinations Council: 
  • Typewriting II (40 W.P.M.), or computerized document processing III 
  • Business English II 
  • Commerce II 
  • Office Management II/Office Administration and Management III 
  • Secretarial Duties II 
  • Office Practice II
  • Proficiency in computer applications
