Marketing & Communication Officer Job in Kenya - Co-operative Bank

Responsibilities

Specifically, the successful jobholder will be required to:

  • Oversee the development and implementation of strategic marketing initiatives with a focus on growing business volumes, customer base, and income.
  • Develop models to increase the organisation’s market share and conduct regular performance reviews of products and services.
  • Develop and implement initiatives for maintaining strong relationships with existing customers and building new relationships that guarantee business growth.
  • Work with service providers to develop appropriate designs and artwork for company marketing materials.
  • Drive marketing initiatives across various media and advertisement channels.
  • Carry out market intelligence and research to identify COBSS’s needs and develop responsive products.

  • Ensure thorough cost management and continually benchmark against market competition to adopt best practices for new business.
  • Champion and deliver world-class customer service within the company’s Service Level Agreements.

Skills, Competencies and Experience

The successful candidate will be required to have the following qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field from a recognised university, with at least three years’ experience in sales and marketing, management, customer service, or related roles.
  • Computer literate with thorough knowledge of various banking products.
  • Excellent communicator with strong analytical and presentation skills; ability to work effectively in a diverse and collaborative team environment.
  • Results-driven with a demonstrated track record in networking, selling, and influencing, as well as the ability to identify new opportunities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build long-term, high-quality, and trusted relationships.
