About the Program
The
aim of the Ajira Digital Phase 2 program is to improve the livelihoods for
young women and men, including persons with disabilities and refugees, through
inclusive digital skills and employment, contributing to equitable growth and
social transformation across the ASALs, rural and other marginalized
communities.
Job Purpose
The
Regional Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the
implementation of Ajira Digital Program activities across the assigned region.
The role ensures effective coordination of Centers, Trainers, and program
activities to achieve training, mentorship, and digital work targets while
prioritizing women, persons with disabilities (Persons with Disabilities),
refugees, and youth from ASAL communities.
Key Responsibilities
Regional
Program Coordination
- Assist the Program Management Office in the overall development and
implementation of the Ajira Digital Program in the assigned regions,
ensuring: Operationalization of AYECs and Institutionalization of Ajira
Clubs.
- Provide leadership and oversight to Center Managers and Trainers
within the region.
- Ensure program activities align with Ajira Digital Program
objectives and targets.
- Coordinate training schedules and regional program implementation.
Performance
Management
- Monitor performance of Centers and Trainers against program targets.
- Track training delivery, mentorship outcomes, and youth transition
to digital work.
- Provide guidance and support to ensure performance improvement where
needed.
Partnerships
and Stakeholder Engagement
- Build relationships with TVETs, Universities, community
organizations, and collaborators.
- Engage stakeholders to support program outreach and sustainability.
- Represent the Ajira Digital Program in regional forums and
activities.
- Oversee the rollout of the Regional Plan for the Ajira Activities,
Key events, and Meetups both physical and virtual across the Region.
Monitoring,
Reporting and Data Management
- Consolidate regional reports on training, outreach, and mentorship
activities.
- Track participation data disaggregated by gender, disability status,
refugee status, and ASAL origin.
- Submit timely weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports to the Program
Management Office.
Outreach
and Inclusion
- Promote inclusive participation in Ajira programs with focus on
women, Persons with Disabilities, refugees, and ASAL youth.
- Support community outreach and mobilization initiatives across the
region.
Quality
Assurance
- Ensure training quality and program delivery standards are
maintained across Centers.
- Gather feedback from stakeholders and participants to inform
improvements.
Qualifications &
Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Education, Business
Administration, Project Management, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in program coordination, youth
development, or project management.
- Experience in training and mentorship program delivery is required
for T&M Coordinator responsibilities.
