About the Role

Job Summary

Fadhili International School is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented School Accountant to manage the school’s financial records, budgeting, and compliance. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring financial integrity, transparency, and efficient financial operations to support the school’s academic mission.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day financial operations of the school
  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, ledgers, and reports
  • Process school fees, invoices, receipts, and payments
  • Monitor student fee collections and follow up on outstanding balances
  • Prepare monthly, termly, and annual financial statements

  • Develop and manage school budgets and cash flow forecasts
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, tax regulations, and audits
  • Handle payroll processing and staff statutory deductions
  • Maintain proper filing of financial documents and records
  • Liaise with auditors, banks, suppliers, and regulatory authorities
  • Advise school management on financial planning and cost control

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Professional qualification (CPA, ACCA, or equivalent) is an added advantage
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience, preferably in a school or educational institution
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and Kenyan tax regulations
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
  • High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail
