We are seeking a highly organized and meticulous Accounts Clerk to join our finance department. This role is central to our mission, ensuring the accurate management of student fee accounts, and the institution’s overall financial integrity as well as providing general administrative support to the finance department. This is an ideal opportunity for a well-organized professional with a strong grasp of accounting principles who is eager to grow their career in financial management.
Responsibilities
- Receive all college revenue and issue receipts
- Assist in complication and verification of
payment vouchers
- Assist in maintenance of commitment registers
and budget vote heads
- Assist in processing of payment of creditor and
suppliers
- Reconciling of student fees records and issuing
of fees statement
- Ensure proper filing and safe custody of
accounting documents
- Maintain general office order and security of
information
- Any other assignment as given by the immediate
supervisor.
Requirements
- At least KASNEB Account Technicians Diploma II
or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
- Must be computer literate and knowledgeable in
spreadsheet computer applications
- Successful completion of a minimum 6 months
internship or practical experience within a finance or accounting
department, with a positive recommendation from the supervisor.
