About The Role

Buckner Kenya is registered in Kenya as an NGO to transform the lives of vulnerable children, and build strong families, (Please visit https://www.bucknerkenya.org/). The NGO is seeking Social Workers to monitor assigned processes of child reintegration and post-reintegration, in the best interests of the children and adolescents.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Carry out client case management, crisis interventions, and prepare related progress reports.
  • Train foster parents as per identified and documented training needs.
  • Carry out socio-economic research (80% field work and 20% administrative).
  • Participate in multidisciplinary evaluation and psychosocial diagnoses of assigned cases.
  • Recruit, evaluate, and monitor foster children and foster families.
  • Nurture formal relationships with external service providers, consultants, agencies, and organizations to improve service delivery to clients.
  • Ensure accurate records, and documentation; providing timely reports, feedback and logistical support.

Qualifications


  • University degree in Social Work (master’s degree preferred).
  • Active member of a relevant professional association (provide proof).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, including accurate professional writing and speaking skills using professional technical language, desirably in English.
