About The Role
Buckner
Kenya is registered in Kenya as an NGO to transform the lives of vulnerable
children, and build strong families, (Please visit
https://www.bucknerkenya.org/). The NGO is seeking Social Workers to monitor
assigned processes of child reintegration and post-reintegration, in the best
interests of the children and adolescents.
Essential Responsibilities
- Carry out client case management, crisis
interventions, and prepare related progress reports.
- Train foster parents as per identified and
documented training needs.
- Carry out socio-economic research (80% field
work and 20% administrative).
- Participate in multidisciplinary evaluation and
psychosocial diagnoses of assigned cases.
- Recruit, evaluate, and monitor foster children
and foster families.
- Nurture formal relationships with external
service providers, consultants, agencies, and organizations to improve
service delivery to clients.
- Ensure accurate records, and documentation;
providing timely reports, feedback and logistical support.
Qualifications
- University degree in Social Work (master’s
degree preferred).
- Active member of a relevant professional
association (provide proof).
- Excellent verbal and written communication,
including accurate professional writing and speaking skills using
professional technical language, desirably in English.
