Enumerators Jobs in Kenya - Somo

We’re looking for Enumerators who are committed, detail oriented, and excited to contribute to impactful research and development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-person, phone, and digital surveys using approved tools such as DigiKua in assigned locations.
  • Accurately record survey responses using digital or paper-based data collection tools.
  • Adhere strictly to survey protocols, ethical standards, and data collection guidelines.
  • Identify and engage eligible respondents based on sampling criteria and project instructions.
  • Clearly explain the purpose of the study and obtain informed consent from respondents.
  • Review collected data daily to ensure completeness, accuracy, and consistency.
  • Maintain professionalism, neutrality, and courtesy throughout the data collection process.
  • Report field challenges, data issues, or logistical concerns promptly to the M&E Officer or line manager.

Requirements


  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Social Sciences, IT, or a related field.
  • At least 1-2 years of experience in data collection, surveys, or field research.
  • Experience using digital data collection tools such as DigiKua, KoboToolbox, ODK, or SurveyCTO.
  • Basic understanding of data quality, validation, and ethical data collection principles.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage respondents effectively.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently under minimal supervision and meet daily and weekly targets.
  • Proficiency in Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel is an added advantage.
