Accounts Clerk Job in Kenya - St. Kizito Special Needs VTC

The St. Kizito Special Needs Vocational Training Centre, a leading institution dedicated to inclusive vocational education and empowerment of persons with disabilities, invites applications from qualified, committed, and experienced individuals to fill the following position

Accounts Clerk

Terms of Service: One year renewable contract subject to performance

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate financial records, ledgers, and supporting documentation.
  • Prepare monthly reconciliations, financial reports, and audit-ready schedules.
  • Support procurement processes and ensure compliance with institutional, donor, and government financial regulations.

  • Assist in budget preparation, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Manage petty cash, banking transactions, and payment vouchers.
  • Administer payroll and Ensure timely submission of statutory returns and compliance with tax obligations.
  • Oversee collections, recording and banking of students fees and other revenues

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Minimum KATC II qualification or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related field from a recognized institution or any other equivalent qualification.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of public procurement law and compliance standards.
  • At least two (2) years’ relevant experience in finance or accounts, preferably within an educational or NGO setting.
  • High integrity, accuracy, and ability to meet strict deadlines.
