Role Description
They are
seeking a highly motivated Accountant & Administrative Assistant to join
their team. This applicant must be an extremely organised, innovative
self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Full-cycle processing of accounts payable and
accounts receivable, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Invoice customers daily and maintain customer
statements, following up on overdue invoices.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and perform
monthly stock reconciliations.
- Assist in preparing cost of goods sold reports,
product costing, wastage tracking and variance analysis.
- Monitor and record cash movement across all bank
and mobile money accounts.
- Reconcile supplier accounts and resolve
discrepancies promptly.
- Prepare monthly management accounts, including
bank reconciliations and expense analysis.
- File statutory returns (VAT, PAYE, NSSF, NHIF,
etc.) accurately and on time.
- Assist in budget preparation, cash flow
forecasting and monitoring of actual vs budget performance.
- Maintain and improve internal controls around
cash, inventory and financial processes.
- Ensure compliance with all financial
regulations.
- Oversee procurement of inventory, maintain stock
levels and track supplier performance.
- Coordinate with production and sales teams to
ensure accurate recording of production, dispatch and deliveries.
- Manage office supplies, equipment and general
administrative support.
- Maintain organised filing systems for invoices,
receipts, contracts and company records.
- Support HR tasks including maintaining leave
records, staff documentation, and onboarding processes.
- Coordinate internal meetings, communications,
and schedules.
- Prepare weekly cash position updates and other
routine management reports.
- Provide financial and operational insights to
support business decision-making.
- Communicate with suppliers and customers
professionally to resolve queries and improve service.
- Other general accounting, financial or
administrative functions as needed.
Qualifications
- Undergraduate
degree in Accounting or Finance required.
- Minimum of 5 years
of experience in manufaturing industry.
- Accounting certification (CPA, ACCA etc) is a
plus.
- Proficient in
accounting software, particularly Quickbooks.
- Excellent organisational, time management and
analytical skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong understanding of financial regulations
and compliance
- Experienced in follow-through and completion of
projects.
- Ability to manage multiple projects
simultaneously.
- Resourceful, self-motivated and comfortable
working independently.
