Role Summary
We’re
looking for a curious, structured, and reliable early-career professional to
join Prime Frontier Group as a Research Analyst. This role is responsible for supporting internal
projects and strategic decision-making through structured research, data
organization, and insight generation.
You’ll
work across sectors including mining, energy, environment, procurement, and
technology, helping teams access the knowledge and background information they
need to deliver impactful, evidence-based projects. From internal briefings to
policy summaries, this is a high-learning, high-contribution role for someone
who enjoys reading, analyzing, and structuring knowledge.
This
role is ideal for a research-oriented graduate or junior professional looking
to work across business, strategy, and development projects in Africa.
Key Responsibilities
Research
Collection & Structuring
- Conduct desk research using trusted sources
(e.g. World Bank, IMF, Statista, industry reports)
- Organize and summarize findings by theme,
geography, and sector
- Maintain proper referencing, source tracking,
and file structure
Insight Summaries & Briefing Notes
- Draft internal research briefs and sector
summaries
- Support proposal development with background
data and contextual inputs
- Collaborate with other teams to integrate
research into their documents
Knowledge
Management
- Maintain an internal research repository
(Microsoft, Airtable, or Notion)
- Track where insights are being used across teams
or reports
- Update shared files, templates, and document
libraries regularly
Cross-Team
Collaboration
- Work with the Environmental Scientist on
sustainability literature and ESG frameworks
- Collaborate with the Financial Analyst on market
research and economic context
- Support Marketing or Strategy teams with
thought-leadership content or citations
What We’re Looking For
Education
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in public policy,
social sciences, economics, business, environmental studies, or a
research-heavy discipline
- Experience with academic research or structured
writing is a strong plus
Experience
- 0-3 years of experience in research, consulting
support, data analysis, or academic roles
- Experience writing briefs, memos, or background
summaries is preferred
Technical
Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Word,
Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Strong online research skills (Google Scholar,
policy portals, open datasets)
- Ability to organize files and data clearly for
team use
- Familiarity with citation tracking and version
control (manual or software-based)
