The Production Supervisor is responsible for comprehensive oversight and optimization of all manufacturing operations, with a primary focus on ensuring efficient workflow execution, strict adherence to production schedules, and rigorous compliance with all established quality and safety standards. This role requires robust leadership, encompassing direct staff supervision, diligent performance management, and the maintenance of high levels of workplace discipline; and driving the production team to consistently achieve all defined operational targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Production Oversight: Ensure operational
continuity by directing daily activities, adhering to schedules, and
optimizing production lines for maximum efficiency and resource
utilization.
- Compliance & Safety: Maintain the
highest standards of quality and safety by strictly enforcing GMP and all
relevant safety protocols, including routine workplace inspections and PPE
enforcement.
- Team Leadership: Lead and manage the
production workforce, including duty allocation, performance appraisal,
and effective handling of disciplinary matters.
- Training & Mentorship: Develop team
capabilities by training staff on SOPs, safety best practices, and
standard protocols.
- Performance Planning: Execute production
plans, adjusting workflows as needed to meet demanding deadlines and
targets.
- Data Reporting: Accurately document and
submit all critical performance metrics, including daily reports, OEE
data, overtime records, and complete batch/shift logs.
- Quality Management: Proactively monitor
product quality, troubleshoot production issues (e.g., equipment
failures), and supervise crucial maintenance activities.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive process
enhancements through the implementation of parameter optimization to
maximize yield and significantly reduce waste.
- Cross-Functional Liaison: Coordinate
effectively with support teams (Maintenance, QA, Planning) to eliminate
bottlenecks and provide clear, timely production status updates to senior
management.

Education, Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in
industrial/Analytical Chemistry, Process/Chemical Engineering, or a degree
in a closely related technical field.
- Minimum of 3 years in a manufacturing
supervisory role, with experience in FMCG, pharmaceuticals, or chemical
industries strongly preferred.
- Working knowledge of ERP systems (SAP or
equivalent) and proficiency in MS Excel and production tracking tools.
- Proficiency in data analysis and
interpreting key production metrics, including OEE (Overall Equipment
Effectiveness) and other productivity metrics.
- Demonstrated strong leadership and team
leadership skills.
- Effective conflict-resolution skills.
- Proven ability in planning and
organizational skills
