POSITION SUMMARY:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior
Accountant to join our Finance Department at our Head
Office in Nairobi. This full-time position plays a pivotal role in overseeing
the financial operations of the company, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and
strategic financial planning.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.
Processing invoices, LPOs, and receipts
2.
Budget and petty cash management
3.
Monitor the day to day financial operations within the company
(payroll, invoicing & other transactions).
4.
Manage the company’s financial accounting, monitoring, and
reporting systems.
5.
Ensure compliance with accounting policies & regulatory
requirements.
6.
Prepare and analyse accurate monthly financial and management
reports, including income statement, balance sheet & budgets
7.
Ensure that VAT, corporate tax and other statutory and
regulatory tax are filed on time.
8.
Administrative duties & office management
9.
Tracking progress of projects along budget lines
MANDATORY
REQUIREMENTS:
- MUST have a Degree
in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field
- MUST have a
CPA/ACCA training
- MUST have minimum 5
years’ proven experience working in an accounting/finance role
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- High
attention to detail and strong analytical skills
- Ability
to work independently and lead financial operations
- Strong
knowledge of tax regulations and audit processes
- Experience
with accounting software and financial reporting tools
- Excellent
organizational and time management skills
