Job Title: Driver III
Responsible for driving official vehicles,
transporting staff and documents safely, carrying out routine vehicle
inspections, maintaining vehicle cleanliness, monitoring fuel consumption,
keeping accurate vehicle movement and maintenance records, reporting mechanical
faults, and complying with traffic laws and road safety regulations. Requires a
valid driving licence for the relevant vehicle class, a Certificate of Good
Conduct and a valid PSV licence where applicable, alongside relevant driving
experience. The position is based in Nakuru and requires on-site work.
Qualifications
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:
Kenya
Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) mean grade D plain or its equivalent.
A valid
driving license free from any current endorsement(s) for class(es) of
vehicle(s) an officer is required to drive;
Attended
a First-Aid Certificate Course lasting not less than one (1) at St. John
Ambulance or Kenya Institute of Highway and Building Technology (KIBHT) any
other recognized institution;
Passed
Suitability Test for Driver Grade III;
A valid
certificate of Good Conduct from the Kenya Police;
Passed
Practical Test for Drivers; and
At least
two (2) years driving experience.
