Responsibilities
Customer Relationship
Management
- Work
closely with the sales team on customer requirements and coordinate the
operation team on product availability.
- Coordinate
with Customer Service Rep. & Sales Team on customer orders for
delivery schedules and timely delivery.
- Review
and approve customer orders, plan and accomplish delivery of customers’
orders effectively within set timelines, in liaison with Customer Service
Executive and Sales Representatives.
- Coordinating
logistics for market returns from trade to enhance good trade relations
while preventing undue loss to the company.
- Coordinating
customer orders for special products and cross-border shipments, ensuring
flow of information and goods.
- Public
relations/ customer service; attending to enquiries, sales and complaints
from walk-in customers at the plant
- Overall
process ownership for Proof of Delivery (POD) to prevent loss of revenue.
Fleet Management
- Ensure
timely and effective maintenance of company trucks to minimum their
downtime /& minimize distribution disruption.
- Enforce
adherence to the maintenance schedules and trucks roadworthy by third
party transporters – maintain close relations with hired transporters
- Manage
the availability of both company and hired vehicles to meet the delivery
requirements for all customer orders.
- Implement
and achieve agreed performance targetsand efficiencies for both company
and hired fleet – Truck capacity utilization, fuel consumption, repair and
maintenance
Logistic Management
- Develop
and implement distribution strategies to optimize the flow of goods and
manage the distribution costs.
- Coordinate
logistics for interplant transfer and stock allocation daily to ensure
balance in stock availability for both UL plants
- Availing
trucks and planning for by-products logistics in liaison with Warehouse
team – Ensure Mill operations are not interrupted due to filled up
byproduct store.
Compliance
- Ensuring
compliance with County Distribution Licenses in ALL the County Governments
that fall within the scope of delivery
- Work
closely with the operations team to ensure all the products being
distributed meet statutory requirements and regulatory requirement –
product and permit compliance.
- Enforce
road discipline and adherence to the rules by the distribution assistant.
- Ensure
all distribution trucks are road workand inspection and insurance
compliant.
People Management &
Employee Capacity Building
- Develop,
motivate and direct staff in the department for excellent delivery service
- Conducting
monthly Distribution Team performance reviews.
- Offer
Coaching and mentoring to develop employees.
- Regularly
conduct face to face sessions and ensure timely closure of action
identified.
- Prepare
and implement employee personal development plans in liaison with the
HRBP.
- Train
and review employees skill levels and timely address skill gaps through
TWI
PaTaMu, Safety Health
and Environment, Food Safety & ERM
- Drive
and actively participate in 6K, CI, SHE, FSMS, GMP , PaTaMu & ERM
activities and initiatives at the department.
- Identify
and report all quality, food safety , SHE & ERM issues during daily
operations for actions.
- Conduct
Root Cause Analysis for missed targets within the Distribution department
and timely close identified improvement actions to continually improve the
process.
- Ensure
timely action closure of all actions relating to PaTaMu, SHE, FSMS &
ERM.
- Carry
out regular safety tools box awareness sessions and training.
- Organize
for hazards spotting and closure of all the potential hazards within the
required timelines.
- Offer
training support to all the employees on matters of Health and safety
within the department.
