Job Summary
The Procurement Officer will play a crucial role in
ensuring the efficient procurement and sourcing of materials, equipment, and
services necessary for different projects.
Roles And Responsibilities
Conduct procurement activities in accordance with
company policies and procedures.
Source and select suppliers based on quality,
cost-effectiveness, reliability, and delivery timelines.
Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with
suppliers to achieve the best possible deals.
Monitor supplier performance and address issues or
concerns promptly to ensure continuous supply chain efficiency.
Implement inventory control systems to optimize stock levels and reduce excess inventory.
Collaborate with project managers and engineers to
understand project requirements and develop procurement plans accordingly.
Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and
inventory levels.
Manage the end-to-end procurement process, including
preparing purchase orders, verifying receipt of goods, and approving payments.
Evaluate and analyze supplier proposals and bids.
Stay updated on industry trends and market conditions
to make informed purchasing decisions
Manage relationships with key suppliers and
stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory
requirements related to procurement.
Qualifications And Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply
Chain Management, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in Procurement
within the power sector is an added advantage
Experience in Supplier Sourcing & Contract
Management.
Experience in negotiating contracts and managing
supplier relationships.
Knowledge of market trends and supply chain
management principles.
Excellent Analytical skills, bargaining Skills,
Interpersonal Skills and Negotiation Skills.
