Job Summary:
The Communications Officer at Faith to Action Network
will play a crucial role in implementing the organization’s communication
strategy. This role involves creating and managing content, handling media
relations, overseeing digital media, and providing administrative support to
enhance the visibility and profile of Faith to Action Network’s programs and
activities. The Communications Officer will work closely with the programs
team, external Relations and other departments.
Responsibilities:
Communications Strategy
Develop and implement tailored communication
strategies for different audiences, including donors, program participants,
partners, and the general public.
Create audience-specific content and messaging to
effectively engage and inform each group.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of
communication strategies for each audience, adjusting plans as necessary based
on feedback and metrics.
Collaborate with program teams to ensure consistent
and cohesive messaging across all communication channels.
Working with the programs team to translate impact into compelling multi-media storytelling;
Working with counterparts from peer organizations,
partners, Members or funders to manage Faith to Actions Network’s presence and
participation in partner communications;
Maintaining digital media archives including photos
and videos;
Maintaining updated contact lists and segments in
MailChimp for partners, members and other relevant stakeholders
Content Creation and Digital Media Management:
Manage Faith to Action Network’s digital presence,
including updating website content, monitoring social media analytics, and
coordinating digital asset management.
Develop and implement communication materials such as
social media content, blog posts, newsletters, press releases, and
presentations.
Collaborate with program teams to gather and document
success stories, program participant testimonials, and other content for
communications purposes.
Collect case studies that demonstrate the impact and
success of our work and projects, including interviewing participants and
writing impact stories.
Produce high-quality photo and video assets and
package these for various audiences.
Support the implementation of the social media
strategy and content calendar across digital platforms.
Events/ Conferences Organization and Calendar
Management:
Work with programs team to proactively develop a
calendar of events aligned with Faith to Action Network’s thematic areas to
ensure visibility and impact.
Organize and support events and conferences including
logistics, invitations, promotional materials, and on-site coordination.
Collect feedback and analyze the success of events to
improve future activities.
Manage and support webinars as requested, including
technical setup, participant coordination, and follow-up communication.
Provide administrative support for the events and
conferences such as scheduling
Media Relations:
Organize and coordinate media relations activities,
including compiling media contact lists, pitching story ideas, and supporting
press events globally.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public
Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
At least five years of progressively responsible
experience as a Communications and PR role or journalist or in a similar
position in an international development organization
Skilled at graphic design , photography and
videography ,Proficient in the use of photo and video editing software and
experience in designing and implementing effective print, audio and video
products
A story teller able to convert data into interesting
stories
Excellent writing skills
Proficiency in social media platforms and digital
content management systems.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience with photography, videography, and
multimedia production is an advantage.
Fluency in English; knowledge of other international
languages eg French , Arabic etc is a plus.
