SENIOR OFFICER-BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT AND MARKETING – REF
KFS/SO/BDM/2024 – KFS GRADE 6 – (1) POSITIONS
Entry Requirements :
Bachelor’s degree in any of the following
disciplines: Business Administration, Bachelors of Commerce (Marketing or
Entrepreneurship Option, Entrepreneurship, Economics) or any other relevant
field from a recognized institution;
Supervisory course lasting not less than 2 weeks from
a recognized institution
At least five (5) years work experience
Professional qualifications and membership to
Chartered Institute of Marketers (CIM) or equivalent
Proficiency in computer applications; and
Fulfil the requirements of Chapter Six of the
Constitution

An officer at this level will work under supervision
of a senior officer.
Duties and responsibilities
Execute the brand strategy and positioning, managing
the Service’ brands and tracking measurements and performance to inform future
activities
Develop and manage appropriate channels to meet
changing customer needs and business goals
Conduct customer and market research
Contribute to competitive positioning of the Service
Implement marketing programs to deliver value so as
to attract and retain investors and investments
Coordinate outreach programs/activities to assist in
answering customers’ queries
Assists in the development of a functional business
plans within in the context of KFS’s overall Business development Strategy.
Participates in enhancing corporate customer
relations.
Designs appropriate system for evaluating the results
of the business development program for analyzing performance in light of the
set goals.
Assisting on scanning the market and develop new
business.
Working closely with the Business Development officer
in identifying customers’ needs
Assisting in Undertaking Feasibility studies, and
develop business plans for potential customers.
Assisting in the review of stalled and ailing
projects and advise the Service on how to rehabilitate them.
Assist in undertaking business diagnosis to identify
gaps and opportunities in governance, strategy and management of the business.
Support businesses to undertake analysis, design and
implementation of business solutions to close identified gaps and pursue
identified opportunities.
Promote activities for domestic, regional and
international tourism markets
Participate in tourism fairs
Establish linkages with tourism stakeholders.
Responsible for resource mobilization for the
Directorate
Promote public values and principles
Mentoring and coaching
