Regional Business Development Manager Job in Kenya

Job Summary

The Regional Business Development Manager (BDM) will be responsible for driving growth within the assigned region by identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, and implementing strategic initiatives to increase market share. This role demands a proactive and dynamic individual who can work independently and has a proven track record in sales and business development within the financial services or product financing industry.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve regional sales targets.

Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the region to expand the company’s market presence.

Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including merchants, partners, and customers.

Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscape.

Identify and recruit new merchants to partner with the company for product financing services.


Conduct presentations and negotiations to onboard merchants, ensuring they understand and align with the company’s value proposition.

Develop and execute onboarding processes, including training and support for new merchants.

Maintain ongoing communication with merchants to address any issues, provide updates, and foster strong partnerships.

Identify and evaluate potential locations for new offices and retail spaces within the region.

Manage the setup and opening of new locations, including coordinating with contractors, vendors, and other stakeholders.

Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, finance, and operations, to ensure seamless service delivery and customer experience.

Prepare regular reports on sales activities, market conditions, and business development performance.

Analyze sales data and metrics to measure the effectiveness of business development strategies and make data-driven decisions.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales and Marketing, or a related field. MBA is a plus.

Minimum of 10 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role within the financial services or product financing industry.

Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.

Strong understanding of the product financing market and financial products.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

Ability and flexibility to travel within the assigned region as required.
