Head of Projects Division Job in Kenya

Our client is the market leader in outdoor billboard advertising with a focus on strategic advertising development, printing, promotions, supply, manufacture, installation and maintenance of all types of indoor and outdoor signage, image and promotional materials.

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Head of Projects Division to join the team. The Head of Projects Division will play a key role in leading commercial activities related to Projects. The role will also involve overseeing project bids, contracts, financial performance and driving profitability, managing client relationships, ensuring project delivery aligns with company objectives.

Responsibilities:

1. Project Leadership:


Lead and manage the project team, ensuring alignment with project goals and company objectives.

Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, outlining key milestones, deliverables, and timelines.

Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of advertising campaigns and projects to ensure they meet client expectations and deliver desired results.

2. Client Management and Relationship Building:

Act as the primary point of contact for clients, understanding their needs, objectives, and preferences for each project.

Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships, providing exceptional service and ensuring client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.

3. Financial Management and Budgeting:

Develop project budgets and financial forecasts, ensuring profitability and adherence to budgetary constraints.

Monitor project finances, including expenses, revenues, and profit margins, and take corrective action as needed to ensure financial objectives are met.

4. Team Leadership and Collaboration:

Lead and mentor the project management team, providing guidance, support, and direction to ensure successful project delivery.

Foster a collaborative and cohesive team environment, encouraging open communication, knowledge sharing, and cross-functional collaboration.

5. Risk Management and Issue Resolution:

Identify potential risks and issues that may impact project timelines, budgets, or quality, and develop mitigation strategies to address them.

Proactively manage project risks and resolve issues as they arise to minimize disruption and ensure project success.

6. Quality Assurance and Continuous Improvement:

Implement quality assurance processes and standards to ensure the delivery of high-quality advertising campaigns and projects that meet or exceed client expectations.

Monitor project performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs), analyzing results to identify areas for improvement and implementing enhancements to optimize project delivery processes.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.

PMP, PRINCE2, or other relevant project management certification is highly desirable.

Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

Proven track record of managing large-scale projects in the energy or utilities sector.

Experience working with Government parastatals, technology infrastructure organizations and navigating regulatory environments in Kenya.

Strong leadership and team management skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Proficiency in project management software and tools.

Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.

Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
