Reporting to the Director, Special Programs
Collaboratives, the Consultant will be responsible for engaging partners and
youth to successfully implement the Climate Collaborative and enable partners
to achieve our desired strategic outcomes. This is a 12-month, full-time
contract.
The successful candidate will be based in any of our
offices (Canada, Ethiopia, Nigeria, Senegal, Ghana, Rwanda, Kenya, or Uganda).
Responsibilities
Contribute to the design and implementation of the
Higher Education Climate Collaboratives.
Co-create proposal development for potential partners
within the collaboratives.
Collaborate with teams across Special Program,
Education and Transitions, and other Foundation teams to enrich partnerships.
Provide partners with advice and support on
implementation, tracking progress, and identifying learning, ensuring
high-quality delivery of partnerships.
Organize monthly or quarterly meetings with partners to ensure excellence in implementation.
Capture data and lessons learned and ensure that
insights and impact are routinely and effectively reported and integrated into
program adaptations.
Support partners to ensure the safeguarding of all
program participants.
Cultivate and manage relationships with stakeholders
to scale impact.
Plan and support delivery of annual convenings and
virtual meetings.
Collect best practices and plan and execute
governance structures within the collaboratives.
Support the monitoring, evaluation, and learning
framework.
Analyse and synthesize feedback to inform broader
program development activities and drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field
such as international relations, education, public policy, or a related
discipline.
Fifteen (15+) years of senior management experience
in global organizations, demonstrating strong leadership in international
relations, education, development, and/or government or public policy within
non-profit organizations, international NGOs, and/or learning institutions, is
required.
Five (5+) years of experience in
climate/environmental programmatic work.
Demonstrated success at building and managing
high-performing partnerships in Africa and globally.
Experience engaging with faculty/staff in higher
education institutions, civil society organizations, government, private
sector, etc., and young people.
Flexible, adaptable, and able to execute a range of
job duties and changing priorities.
Professional maturity, sensitivity to different
cultures, and impeccable integrity that exemplify the Foundation’s values.
