Requirements For The Appointment
For appointment to this position, a candidate must
have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration Finance option or
Accounting or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
- Certified Public Accountant – CPA Part II or its equivalent
qualifications; and
- Meet the requirements of Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution
of Kenya zoro; Integrity, Honesty and Accountability.
Duties and Responsibilities
This is the entry grade for this cadre. An officer at
this lerel may be deploy’ed to work at the Headquarters under the supen’ision
of a senior officer. Specificalll’, duties and
responsibilities will include:
- Implementing accounting policies, standards, systems,
strategies and procedures for the Office;
- Monitoring effectireness ofaccounting policies guidelines,
procedures and standards;
- Facilitating expenditure control to ensure ODPP commits funds
that are available;
- Preparing payrnent vouchers both for staff claims, imprest
warrants and suppliers;
- Invoicing of all palment vouchers;
- Invoicing of AIEs for all ODPP spending units;
- Filing of all vouchers both for payments, receipts, imprest
and surrenders of imprest;
- Custodian of voucher stamping stamps;
- Maintaining various voucher movement registers;
- Filing, storing and retrieval of official documents for the
accounts division;
- Processing of invoice payment through the Integrated Financial
and Management Information System (IFMIS); and
- Filing and storage of accounts documents.
