DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategy
and Planning:
- Develop and implement a strategic plan for online
learning.
- Identify
opportunities for new online programs and courses.
Curriculum
Development:
- Oversee the development and design of online courses
and programs.
- Ensure the
online curriculum meets educational standards and industry needs.
Technology
Management:
- Evaluate and select e-learning technologies and
platforms.
- Oversee the
integration of technology into the learning experience.
Student
Services:
- Ensure online students have access to necessary
support services.
- Monitor student
progress and satisfaction in online courses.
Quality
Assurance:
- Develop and implement quality assurance processes
for online learning.
- Ensure online
programs and courses meet national and international standards.
Faculty Support and Development:
- Provide training
and support for faculty in online teaching methods and technologies.
- Facilitate the
sharing of best practices in online teaching among faculty.
Partnership
and Collaboration:
- Collaborate with
other departments and external partners to ensure the success of online
programs.
- Represent the college
in professional associations related to online learning.
Marketing
and Enrollment:
- Collaborate with the marketing and admissions
departments to recruit students for online programs.
- Develop
strategies to increase enrollment and retention in online programs.
KEY REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS
- Master's degree in Education, Instructional
Design, Educational Technology, Hospitality, or related field. A doctoral
degree will be a plus.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in online
education, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Extensive experience in instructional design and
e-learning technologies.
- Strong leadership, communication, and
decision-making skills.
- Deep understanding of the current trends and
challenges in online education, preferably in the hospitality sector..
