Corporate Staffing Services is recruiting a Technology Training Programs Lead position for a client in the technology training sector. The salary for the role is Ksh 200,000 monthly. Proficiency in program management, curriculum development, and stakeholder engagement is required.
Our
client is a Technology Training institution based in Nairobi, Kenya. They seek
to recruit a Technology Training Programs Lead who will be responsible for
planning, coordinating, and overseeing all aspects of their technology training
programs and tech bootcamps. The role includes managing training schedules,
delivering high-quality training content, running tech bootcamps, supporting
trainers, building partnerships, and ensuring the programs achieve their
learning objectives. The successful candidate will also drive initiatives to
increase participation of young women and ensure continuous improvement of
curricula and learning outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Program
Planning & Execution
- Plan the overall training programs, including special learners
groups and bootcamps, and monitor progress to achieve minimum monthly
training targets.
- Run end-to-end tech bootcamps for learners/students, ensuring
quality learning outcomes and engagement.
- Drive publicity, mobilization, and partnerships to meet training
targets.
- Ensure high-quality training delivery and a 90% completion rate for
participants undertaking trainings and mentorship.
- Ensure quality content/curriculum delivery and coordinate
partnerships for training programs.
Training
Coordination & Meetings
- Conduct training meetings, including trainers’ meetings, to agree on
training structures, modalities, and understand trainer needs and
recommendations for improvement.
- Plan and coordinate monthly and quarterly training activities,
schedules/calendars, and trainers’ rosters to ensure smooth program
execution.
Program
Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement
- Provide strong and hands-on leadership to trainers and program
teams, ensuring alignment to program objectives, accountability, and high
performance delivery.
- Lead, coordinate, and supervise trainers and program teams, ensuring
effective execution of all training activities and achievement of
performance targets.
- Represent the institution in high-level stakeholder engagements,
including C-suite executives, strategic partners, government agencies, and
institutional forums.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders,
partners, and decision-makers to support program growth, funding
opportunities, and strategic collaboration.
- Provide ongoing leadership support to trainers through structured
check-ins, performance reviews, coaching, and appraisals.
Women
& Youth Empowerment Initiatives
- Coordinate and plan women-focused events, digital work series, and
webinars to increase young women registration, aiming for a 70% women
participation target.
- Lead initiatives to enhance young women’s access to work
opportunities, apprenticeships, and skills development.
Monitoring,
Evaluation & Curriculum Improvement
- Collect and coordinate feedback on the training program, including
evaluation surveys, focus group discussions, and success stories.
- Make recommendations for curriculum improvements through the
curriculum development process.
- Develop and implement tools and ideas for continuous program
improvement, ensuring adequate technical, soft, and hard skills training
for learners.
Reporting
& Compliance
- Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports on program
performance and activities.
- Work collaboratively with other teams to align program activities
with organizational objectives.
- Adhere to organizational policies, local legislation, and cultural
norms while performing duties with diligence and in the best interest of
the institution.
Qualifications & Skills
- Educational Background: Minimum of a Bachelor’s
degree in Information Technology, Technology, or related IT programs. A
Master’s or PhD in a relevant field is an added advantage.
- Professional Experience: 7 to 10 years with 5 of
them being in the implementation of technology training, tech bootcamps,
and program management within a technology educational setting.
- Certifications: Relevant technology or IT certifications are
highly desirable.
- Leadership & Team Management: Strong, proven leadership
experience managing trainers, teams, or program delivery units, with a
track record of driving performance and accountability.
- Communication & Reporting: Excellent written and
verbal communication skills, with experience in monitoring, evaluation,
and reporting on training programs.
- Curriculum & Program Development: Knowledge and
experience in curriculum development, instructional design, and designing
programs for youth and women-focused initiatives is a plus.
- Additional Skills: Ability to drive
partnerships, run boot camps end-to-end, and ensure high learner
engagement and completion rates.
