Looking for a procurement job in Kenya? Puratos is hiring a Supply Chain Manager-Junior skilled in strategic sourcing, vendor management, inventory control, purchasing, and logistics coordination.
Your Mission
- In this role, you will be
responsible for supporting and optimizing procurement operations in
Puratos Kenya, ensuring alignment with global standards while enhancing
cost efficiency, supplier performance, compliance, and import/export
effectiveness.
Responsibilities
- Align procurement
activities with Puratos’ global strategy, policies, and procedures
- Source raw materials
locally and internationally in a cost-efficient manner
- Create, manage, and track
purchase orders to ensure timely delivery
- Oversee import/export
processes, including documentation and regulatory compliance
- Coordinate with freight
forwarders, clearing agents, and government authorities
- Maintain and update the
supplier database in line with vendor management standards
- Support supplier
performance evaluations, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with
food safety, quality, and sustainability standards
- Monitor inventory levels
and collaborate with planning teams to prevent stock disruptions
- Prepare procurement
reports and provide actionable insights for decision-making
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in
Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
- 5-10 years of
professional experience in procurement and supply chain operations
- Proven experience in
import/export operations and local sourcing
- Solid understanding of
international trade regulations and Kenyan customs procedures
- Professional
certification (CIPS, CPSP-K) or KISM membership is an added advantage
- Excellent command of
English, both written and spoken
