Corporate Staffing Services is recruiting a Sales Agent position for a client. The salary for the role is Ksh 35,000 – 40,000 monthly. Proficiency in sales, business development, and client relationship management is required.
Our client is a fast-growing logistics and freight forwarding company providing cargo transportation, customs clearance, and supply chain solutions. They are seeking a proactive and results-oriented Sales Agent to support business growth through client acquisition, lead generation, and relationship management within the logistics and freight forwarding sector.
The successful candidate will
be responsible for identifying potential clients, promoting the company’s
services, supporting sales activities, and assisting in the achievement of
business growth targets. The ideal candidate should have a good understanding
of freight forwarding operations, customs clearance processes, and strong
business development skills.
Key Responsibilities
Business
Development & Lead Generation
- Identify and pursue new
business opportunities within freight forwarding, logistics, clearing, and
forwarding services.
- Generate leads through
networking, referrals, cold calling, and market research.
- Schedule client meetings
and presentations to promote company services.
- Assist in preparing
quotations, proposals, and service agreements.
- Support the achievement
of monthly and quarterly sales targets.
Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain
relationships with existing and prospective clients.
- Follow up on client
inquiries and service requests.
- Ensure high levels of
customer satisfaction and retention.
- Identify opportunities to
upsell and cross-sell company services.
Market Research
- Monitor market trends and
competitor activities.
- Gather information on
potential customers and emerging business opportunities.
- Maintain awareness of
trade activities involving China, India, and East Africa.
Operational Coordination
- Liaise with operations
teams to ensure timely service delivery.
- Assist clients in
understanding shipping, customs clearance, and logistics processes.
- Ensure customer
requirements are communicated effectively to relevant departments.
Reporting
- Maintain accurate records
of leads, client interactions, and sales activities.
- Prepare weekly sales
activity reports.
- Update CRM and customer
databases regularly
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s
Degree in Business, Marketing, Logistics, Supply Chain Management,
International Trade, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years’
experience in sales, business development, logistics, clearing and
forwarding, or customer relationship management.
- Basic understanding of
freight forwarding and logistics operations.
- Familiarity with KRA
customs procedures and import/export processes is an added advantage.
- Strong communication,
negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Self-motivated
and target[u1] -driven.
- Proficiency in Microsoft
Office applications.
