Job Purpose
Reporting to the Head of
Marketing Research & Corporate Communications, the Brand & Corporate
Communications Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and
overseeing strategies that strengthen, promote, and protect the Caritas
Microfinance Bank brand and corporate reputation. The role provides leadership
in brand management, corporate communications, media relations, digital
communications, and stakeholder engagement while ensuring consistent brand
positioning across all communication channels.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage the
corporate brand architecture, positioning, and messaging framework in line
with Caritas Microfinance’s strategic goals.
- Oversee media relations,
press engagements, and corporate storytelling to enhance the
organization’s public profile.
- Drive and supervise
internal communication programmes to align employees with the
organization’s culture, mission, and strategy.
- Coordinate and supervise
sponsorships, CSR programmes, events, and stakeholder engagement
initiatives, ensuring maximum impact and alignment with brand values.
- Ensure consistency and
integrity of brand identity across all customer and stakeholder
touchpoints.
- Manage and evaluate
external agencies, PR partners, and ensure strict adherence to brand
compliance standards.
- Monitor and analyze brand
health, sentiment, and share of voice; provide insights and
recommendations to management.
- Measure and report on the
effectiveness of campaigns, product launches, and customer acquisition
initiatives.
- Develop dashboards and
performance reports to support data-driven management decision-making.
- Lead reputation
management, supervise crisis communication planning, and act as a
spokesperson when required.
- Supervise day-to-day
operations of the Marketing, Research & Corporate
- Communications
department, mentor team members, and ensure achievement of departmental
KPIs.
- To perform any other duty
as assigned in line with the Organizational goals and objectives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in
marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Business
Administration or related field
- CIM, CIPR, PRSK, Digital
Marketing Certification or equivalent will be an added advantage.
- Excellent understanding
of brand management, corporate communications, media relations and
stakeholder engagement.
- Strong leadership,
project management and presentation skills
- High proficiency in
digital marketing analytics and Microsoft Office applications.
- Minimum 7 years’
progressive experience in branding, marketing or corporate communications,
2 years of which must be in a managerial or supervisory role, preferably
in banking, financial services or a highly regulated industry.
- Demonstrated experience
managing integrated marketing campaigns, corporate reputation, media
relations and crisis communication
- Proven experience
managing external agencies, budgets and cross-functional projects
- Experience in performance
reporting and use of marketing analytics tools
