Key Responsibilities
- Process accounting transactions based on supporting documentation
received through established workflow
- Ensure timely and accurate booking of financial documents
- Ensure required supporting documentation is availabe for processing
acitivities
- Liaise with finance colleagues across Country Offices to resolve
processing issues and ensure timely follow-up on outstanding items
- Perform account reconcilliation activities
- Maintain proper electronic filling and documentation of accounting
records
- Work effectively within a changing operational environment,
intergrating new processes and responsibilities as additional operational
activities are progressively intergarated into the Hub
- Support compliance with internal controls, procedures and audit
requirements
- Contributte to the smooth functioning of the Hub by workng
collaboratively and identifying opportunities for improvement
Qualifications
- A holder of a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business
Administration.
- CPA (K) Finalist with at least 3 years of progressive professional
experience.
- Experience in an international NGO and understanding of
international donor regulations is preferred.
- Audit experience is an added advantage.
- Strong accounting skills, including management of general ledgers,
journal entries, payables and balance sheets.
- Advanced computer skills in MS Office applications, particularly
Excel.
